Starting on March 30, 2020 at 00:00 the Russian Federation limited access to its land borders, including the Russian-Belarusian section, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 into the country.

Following the order of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 27, 2020, all traffic through automobile, rail, pedestrian, river and mixed border-crossing points is temporarily restricted.

An exception will be made for Russian citizens who are diplomats, employees of official representations of Russia to international organizations, truck drivers, crews of river vessels and trains, members of official delegations.

Also, the mentioned restrictions do not apply to Russian citizens leaving the Russian Federation due to the death of a close relative.
