The Prime Minister, Minister of State Xavier Bettel will visit the Republic of Kazakhstan on 21 and 22 of May 2015. He will be accompanied by Minister of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure François Bausch.

On 21 of May Xavier Bettel and François Bausch will have a meeting with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. They will also meet with Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov. Discussions will be focused on the bilateral ties, relations between the EU and Kazakhstan and on major issues of international agenda.

On May 22 Xavier Bettel will take part at the plenary session of the VIII Astana Economic Forum. On the sidelines of the visit to Astana Xavier Bettel will meet with Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevicius. The priorities of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half 2015 will be the focus of discussion.
