On 27 and 28 January Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn visited Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in order to attend the 24th session of the Executive Council of the African Union.
The working visit of Jean Asselborn to Ethiopia, headquarters of the African Union, is a part of the Grand Duchy’s will to continue its work towards strengthening the political-diplomatic, economic and cultural relations with the countries of the African continent. «Although it is no longer a member of the Security Council, Luxembourg will continue its commitment to conflict resolution in Africa, whether at the multilateral level by supporting the efforts of the African Union and the European Union, or bilaterally», said the head of the Luxembourg diplomacy.
