On Monday 8 June Vice President Maroš Šefčovič contined the Energy Union Tour as he is heading to Luxembourg, the Member State holding the Council’s Presidency as of July 1. During this visit, the Vice President presented the benefits of the Energy Union for Luxembourg and discussed the Commission’s preliminary findings with Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and Minister of the Economy Etienne Schneider.
Together with Minister Schneider, the Vice President engaged with a wide range of citizens in an Energy Union citizens’ dialogue at the Neumünster Abbey. Later in the day, he delivered the key note speech of the ‘Bridge Forum Dialogue’, bringing together key stakeholders of the European and Luxembourgish political and economic world.
